7 Factors Of An Effective Advertising Campaign

November 27, 2008 · Posted in Resell Rights Ebooks, resell rights ebooks · Comments Off

You’ve probably heard the old saying – I know that half of my advertising dollars are wasted, if I only knew which half! Although it’s not possible to know all the factors that go into effective advertising, there are a few elements that are crucial to an ad campaign that is profitable. If you strive to achieve as many of the following 7 factors as possible, you can be confident that you’ll have a winning campaign.

1) Choose an appropriate medium to convey your message. This is so obvious, but you’d be amazed at how many people don’t use common sense when buying media. If you’re trying to reach a 14 year old, don’t buy an ad in the daily paper – buy the radio station that plays hip hop music! Try to target your advertising as much as possible. Think about the person you’re trying to reach with your message. The more you know about that person, the easier this will be. If you’re selling clothing to working women, buying TV is probably not a good idea. They’re probably so busy doing household chores and taking kids to various activities, they probably don’t have time to watch much TV. But billboards and radio are great because she’s probably on the road a lot and those media fit for that audience.

2) Don’t believe that everyone uses media the way you or your spouse does. Just because you don’t like a certain program on TV doesn’t mean that your potential customer doesn’t like it – they may be big fans and never miss an episode. Don’t assume that everyone reads the newspaper because everyone you know does. Ask for information about the medium’s audience – let your rep show you exactly who is watching/reading/listening/driving by/surfing their medium.

3) Don’t judge the price of the ad by the dollar amount alone. Just because an ad is expensive doesn’t mean it isn’t a good buy – and the opposite is true also. If an ad is cheap, but no one reads or sees it, it’s worthless to you. If an ad is reaching tens of thousands of people for $1,000, it might be a good buy if those are the people who are in the market for your product. Try to gauge the real value of an ad by the cost per thousand or cost per rating point (for TV, radio & cable). If you’re not familiar with those terms, ask your ad rep – they will be happy to fill you in. (And if they aren’t, find a new rep.) Visit Website Copy

4) Develop a relationship with your customers and prospects. This is another thing that should be obvious, but very few companies actually do this. Proctor and Gamble has found that this is what makes them money. And it makes sense. If people trust your brand and feel that they know your company, they’re far more likely to buy your products. This is actually easier to do as a smaller business than a large one – and many local businesses have done this for years. It may be schmaltzy, but when the local furniture store owner is on camera for all his TV commercials, people develop a relationship of sorts with him or her. They feel like they know that business. Anytime you can link a personality – even if it’s not a celebrity – to a business, that makes that business stand out. This is an important element that there’s not nearly enough room to cover – so think this one through for your business and come up with ways (and they can be very simple) to develop a relationship with your customers and prospects. An email newsletter is a simple, cheap and very effective way to do this, by the way.

5) Have a hook. Give people something that makes them remember you. Big companies spend millions on this – and for a good reason – it sells stuff. Whatever you do, don’t say “for the best in service and quality” – no one will believe you! If you want to convey that message, have one of your customers give a testimonial on camera – have them describe how you provided them with great service and quality. Give details. A hook needs to be simple, memorable and if possible, fun or heartwarming. The Taco Bell Chihuahua is a good example – the Pillsbury Doughboy is another one. Do something different and let people know about it. Give them a reason to choose your company over your competitors. Visit Web copy

6) Be relevant. Talk to your prospects in your advertising – let them know that you feel their pain and are going to help them make it go away. If you’re talking about something they can’t relate to, they’ll ignore you. There are way too many advertising messages in the world today – and people have learned to tune them out unless they click with something that is important to them. You know how this works – you do the same thing. If you’re sick of how your car is nickel & dimming you lately, you suddenly are much more aware of ads for cars. Find out why people buy your product and talk about how you will give that to them. It’s really pretty simple – but an overwhelming majority of businesses totally miss this.

7) Make sure you know what you’re trying to get your prospect to do. Do you want them to come to your store and buy a specific product? Or do you want them to call your business to get an estimate on a project so your sales person can close the sale in person? The more specific you are in your call to action (please make sure to include one!), the more likely your audience will do what you want them to do.

All of the elements that go into your advertising – the media, the creative, the copywriting, the call to action – create a synergistic result. The more focused you are with any of those elements, the better your results will be. It’s always crucial to measure your ad results. Determine what you want to achieve and include devices that will allow you to determine whether or not you achieved your goal. Then you can tweak results from there. Visit copywriting

Affiliate Marketer
Affiliate marketing has become one of the most effective ways to advertise online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with a website to make a profit online. Affiliate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner. The website owner, or the affiliate, allows the use of their site for the promotion of the merchant’s products by linking to the merchant’s website. In exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate. Every time someone clicks on the link on the affiliate website and proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission. The merchant will pay the affiliate only when a customer clicks on the product link and makes a purchase.
Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication. So make sure that you learn the tricks of the trade as it’s the most important aspect of the game, and one’s willingness to know it all will give her far better advantages in the business than she could ever imagine.
The first step in driving traffic to one’s website is by relying on search engines and what they can do for the affiliate marketer concerned. Because they are popular for driving free targeted traffic, they should not be ignored by all means. Having top search engine rankings is vital in building popularity links, and the use of the right keywords is important in attaining this goal. Once a website is on top of the list, it is easily accessible to anyone who wants to see it for himself.

Beware! Marketing Resell Rights Products Isn’t What You May Think

resell rights: Warning For Online Marketers

If you have been trying to sell ebooks or software that has resale rights products you are probably wasting your time.

resell rights have come a long way from a year or two ago. If you have just started selling resell rights ebooks in the last couple of years or are thinking about using them to start an online business you need to read this article!

The biggest development in the resale rights products business in the past couple of years, especially in the last twelve months is the resell rights membership clubs.

In the past you would buy one resell rights ebooks at a time and try to market it. But now, you can sign up for a membership club and you will have access to hundreds of products for a very low membership fee.

This represents a huge opportunity for online marketers. Theoretically, you can set up one income stream after another and really rake in the bucks for a very low cash outlay.

The only problem is that when you actually try to do this you find that it is very hard to get any sales, much less getting rich!

The reason people have difficulty marketing resell rights products is because marketers will “low-ball” the price of the products and even give them away for free to attract potential customers.

You get into the business thinking that you will be able to make a good income from selling all these resell rights products but in fact, you can’t because the value has been cheapened by poor business practices.

It’s not your fault that you can’t sell much, if anything, from your huge portfolio of resell-rights products in the resell rights membership club.

What experienced marketers have found is that the value of a resell-rights product is used up in about two years.

If you want to make money from resell rights products you need to get the rights and start marketing right away, as soon as the product is launched. Ideally, you want to start your marketing campaign just before the product is launched.

If the product has been out for a while, you certainly want to start marketing it before it is two years old.

The problem is that it is nearly impossible to find products that are fresh and also offer resell rights.

Once you find a source that continually offers good quality master resell rights package products month after month, you can make a lot of money.

The best source I have found for a continuous supply of fresh, good quality resale rights ebooks products is here. You are welcome to use it since there is no way I can take advantage of all the opportunities by myself: resale rights ebooks

Choosing your Blog Platform: An Important First Step

November 27, 2008 · Posted in Resell Rights Ebooks, resell rights ebooks · Comments Off
by Jared Conley

I can’t think of a more common concern or question among both beginning and experienced bloggers alike: which blogging platform should I use? Aside from learning how to blog, it’s an almost universal concern.

And there is no stock answer. All bloggers NEED to own their URLs, but platform choice is mainly dependent on the individual blogger’s requirements. With that stated, I’ve compiled a list of pros and cons of the two primary platform choices below.

Hosted Platforms

Hosted platforms refer to services whereby a service provider gives you access to their software, hardware, and network connection, and you create a blogging account to use on their platform. With a hosted blog, you have access to an administrative panel for your blog, and that’s it.

Standard hosted platforms include solutions like Typepad, LiveJournal, and Blogger.

Advantages of Hosted Platforms

1. Cheap: many are free; some (like TypePad) are offered with multiple price points

2. Simple to get started: just signup for an account and then quickly learn how to create blog posts

3. Automatic updates: you don’t have to worry about keeping hosted software updated and patched.

Disadvantages of Hosted Platforms

1. Inflexible: there are fewer customization options with hosted platforms.

2. Fewer design options: you usually only get to select from a limited number of mediocre designs, and you often can’t make improvements to them

3. Generic URL: some hosted platforms don’t have the choice to use your own URL

4. Less control: you are at the mercy of the platform

5. Migration issues: migrating from many free hosted platforms results in a lot of effort and often the temporary loss of search engine rankings

Self-hosted Platforms

Self-hosted platforms consist of a web hosting account you establish with a host, and the blogging software you install on the host’s server. With a self-hosted blog, you have access to a management panel for your blog, but you also have access to a server account and the blog software where you can do nigh anything.

Popular self-hosted software includes WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.

Advantages of Self-hosted Platforms

1. Design flexibility: you have full control over layout and design

2. Great software: the best software exists on self-hosted platforms

3. Custom URL: custom URL’s are common on self-hosted platforms

4. Adaptability: you can change your blog as your needs change

5. Easy migration: if you ever want to migrate to a different platform or another server, migrating is a snap

Disadvantages of Self-hosted Platforms

1. Difficult setup: setup can sometimes be difficult, but this can be overcome with a good blogs how to

2. Cost: while the blogging software is free, the hosting platform will cost you money

3. Hosting issues: unless you choose a good host, you might have to suffer from down-time or poor support

4. Upgrades: you will need to keep your software patched

Most of of my blogs are self-hosted, and it’s what I generally advise anyone looking to create a professional blog. There are too many benefits to pass up, and you usually have the ability to host many domains and blogs on just one account, lowering the cost per blog down to a small amount.

How To Find The Hot Products To Sell Online

November 27, 2008 · Posted in Resell Rights Ebooks, resell rights ebooks · Comments Off

One of the biggest stumbling blocks for new affiliate marketers is deciding on what to sell online. Many try product after product in an attempt to find something they can sell successfully online. Choosing a hot selling product to sell online isn’t hard. With the simple tips below, anyone can learn to find hot selling products to sell online.

To be successful in affiliate marketing, you have to find a product that many people want. Not only that, you have to find one that they are likely to purchase over the Internet. Sure, a few people will buy a car or boat online, but not many. There are some products that people want to see, touch and evaluate in person before buying. You can’t do that online! Find a popular product that you believe in and then see if they have an affiliate program and find out the terms.

Start by making a list of the things you like and are passionate about. It has always been said that you can sell something you believe in. That’s true. It’s also true that it’s very hard to sell something you know nothing about or have no experience in. This is why it’s critical in finding something that you enjoy or are passionate about.

Both Yahoo and Google have sections where you can go and look to see what the most searched terms are for the previous week, month or year. This will tell you what people are searching for online. Google also has a section called “Hot Trends” that is updated throughout the day to show you the most searched for terms. This can be a huge benefit if you follow it over time.

The other section in Google you want to do research in is Google Trends. This tool will tell you how well the product you’re interested in has been searched for in the past. Google trends is a free tool and one you should not overlook. You want to see the line on the grapch either fairly steady across the graph or rising. A downward line on the graph tells you that interest in the product is tapering off.

The section you want to look for in Yahoo is Yahoo Buzz. This section tracks the most searched for terms of the previoius week or month. It will also tell you whether or not your term is on the rise or tapering off. Personally, I prefer Google Trends for seeing if the product is on fire or cooling off. To find it, go to buzzlog.buzz.yahoo.com. Play around with it a while to really find the best niche products that are hot.

Another excellent place to find hot selling products is ebay. Ebay has a section that will show you the most popular selling products. This can also give you ideas on what to sell on ebay and on the Internet as well. The section you want to look for is called Ebay Pulse. You can also drill down to find which specfic prodcuts are hot. For example, iPods are always hot on Ebay. But which color? Use Ebay Pulse to find which color or which model is hot.

Finding a hot selling product is not hard. You just have to know where to look in order to find them. Picking an affiliate product just because it has a high payout is a sure fire way to fail. Pick something you know about and then research it to see if there is a demand for it. This way you’ll have the confidence to stay the course until you see the fruits of your labor pay off.

Will Google Deliver The Death Blow For BANS Sites?

November 27, 2008 · Posted in Resell Rights Ebooks, resell rights ebooks · Comments Off

bansGoogle and BANS. Once we thought this was a match made in Heaven. Nowadays, if you’re a BANS owner, you probably think you’ve been in affiliate marketing Hell. First there was the Ebay Partner Network canning hundreds of eBay affiliates, many who had Build A Niche Storesites up, and now Google has been either penalizing or out right deindexing BANS sites from the SERPS.

Yeah, for some of you BANS owners, it’s been a pretty tough last few months.

I’m knocking on wood here. If you remember right from my initial Build A Niche Store Review, my goal was to build 100 BANS sites. Now I’m thanking my lucky stars that I have AMADD (Affiliate Marketing Attention Deficit Disorder) and only made it to 30 sites before I lost focus and went off doing something else. So far none of my sites have been touched by either Google or eBay. I’ll give you my theories on why that is on down the page.

A Few Theories Why Google Is De-Indexing BANS sites.

I’ve been following a lot of the chatter on forums about this subject as well as receiving a lot of email. This is what I’ve figured out to this point. No one has 100% concrete proof why Google is de-indexing BANS sites. There are a few theories floating around.

  1. The BANS program was being used by a lot of spammers. Many of these guys/gals were throwing up huge numbers of BANS sites on .info domains. They never bothered to change anything with the programs, their only concern was to get as many BANS sites up as they could, as cheaply as they could. This left a huge footprint for Google to follow.
  2. Most of these same people never bothered to put any content on their sites. They were simply ebay sites with ebay auctions on them. This would be what Google calls a “thin affiliate” site. And we know what Google does with thin affiliate sites.
  3. In order for Google to get all the spammy BANS sites, it had to take some legitimate sites along with them. It’s the shotgun approach. Use a huge pattern to make sure you get all of them. Try and limit the casualties but go forward knowing some innocent victims will be in the pattern.

My Theory On Why Google Hasn’t De-Indexed All BANS Sites

Even as far back as when I bought the Build A Niche Store program, there was talk about Google finding the footprint of all the standard BANS templates and possibly penalizing them. It seems this bird has come home to roost. From the start, here is what I did to try and make my BANS sites unique from all the other cookie cutter BANS sites.

  • I changed up the CSS a little bit on every site. I made sections like the header and content fields larger and smaller.
  • I changed the colors on every site.
  • I changed the size of the headers on every site and used graphic headers.
  • I DID NOT go out and start sending hundreds of backlinks to my sites. I built them up over time using blog carnivals, article submissions, reciprocal linking and adding one way permanent links.
  • I added content to nearly every page plus I used a lot of graphics.
  • I never put eBay auctions on my main page. I put content on the index page to make it look as much like a informative content site as I could. Just look at how many BANS sites have nothing more than auctions on their front page.
  • On many of the domains that hosted my BANS sites, I added blogs, article directories and forums to many. (mostly just blogs that supported the main domain)
  • I never put more than 2 BANS sites on one hosting account plus I paid extra for all sites to have a dedicated IP’s. I’ve read stories of people hosting all their BANS sites with one hosting company. Wow, I can’t fathom that idea. I’m just too paranoid I suppose.
  • I only used dot com domains. Of course, these last two items is what I do for nearly all of my affiliate sites, not just for BANS. I want to make it as hard as possible for Google or any other search engine to spy on my websites.

Now, I’m not saying if you do these things that Google will not index your site. These are the things I did to every BANS site I had. I did these things from day one and as I said above, knock on wood, my sites haven’t been touched. In fact, many are still climbing the SERPS.

Is the Build A Niche Store Still Worth Buying?

I’ve had a few emails asking that question. Honestly, I’d say yes it is. But only if you intend to build sites that have a lot of content and you make them unique. If you’re plan is to buy it and throw up a bunch of BANS sites without adding any value to them, I think you’d be wasting your money. Google is on to you.

Alternatives to The Build A Niche Store program

If you’ve been reading this blog for more than a week or so, you know I’m impressed with the PHPBay plugin for WordPress. As I stated in my post Advanced Build A Niche Store Strategies, I’ve been using PHPBayand WordPress to make blogs and stores with eBay auctions. It seems every week that my PHPBay/WordPress stores outproduce my Build A Niche Store sites. Hey, it’s no secret that Google is crazy in love with WordPress blogs. Why not take advantage of that? Plus, to be honest, a WordPress blog and PHPBay combination site just looks much better than 99% of the BANS sites out there, mine included. (hey, maybe Google hates ugly sites?)

Whatever the real reason that Google is de-indexing or penalizing BANS sites, owners using this program need to proceed with caution. If you continue to make sites with BANS, then do everything in your power to make them unique and stand away from the crowd.

Affiliate Marketing: Finding The Golden Needle In The Internet Haystack

November 27, 2008 · Posted in Resell Rights Ebooks, resell rights ebooks · Comments Off

By: Thomas Schaffer

Finding the affiliate marketing program can be a daunting task. There are hundreds if not thousands of products, services and marketing plans to choose from, so how does someone get started finding which is best for them. Choosing a program on profit or percentage may seem like a good thing to consider first but it is not the best place to start. Personality and interests or hobbies, should be the starting point in deciding which program is right for you.

Don’t underestimate the importance of choosing an affiliate marketing program that fits your personality type and here’s why.

There are a number of internet based plans that really are best suited being promoted all, or at least mostly, offline. In this case you would likely have telephone or in-person contact and these plans really are ideal for extroverted people. If you’re not an extrovert, you know the type. He or she is usually called a “people person”. Extroverts can often strike up a conversation with almost anyone in almost any setting and excel in an environment when they are looking someone directly in the eye.

Introverts are the opposite. If you are, like myself, an introvert the all-online plans are our best opportunity for success. Introverts are often far better at crafting a written sales pitch than speaking one. Most introverts do not necessary shun face-to-fact contact, but we do tend to excel better in an online setting.

The rest of the population is somewhere in the middle. They are comfortable with either face to face contact or online marketing and subsequently have more options.

The next aspect in choosing the right affiliate plan is matching your interests with the product or service you will be promoting.

Now, you may not think that selecting a plan based on your likes and dislikes makes sense but it can have a huge impact on your success. Why? You are likely to be more enthusiastic about a product or service that is complimentary to one of your hobbies or interests. For example, most people who are artistic are best suited for promoting products or services that would be marketed to other artistic people. They will have similar interests and already know what other artistic people like and dislike. They will also see an item that is perhaps designed for one use and be able to imagine different ways that item can be used in artistic pursuits.

People who are predominately analytical thinkers tend more to be drawn to plans with statistics, numbers and linear thinking. They will pick a plan that matches their thinking and then organize the various items, software, planning tools, etc. they will need to reach the goals in the projected time frame that they will almost certainly set for themselves.

It is important not just to know, but to understand which type you are. Then you can proceed to choose the affiliate marketing program best suited to you.
