If you want to start marketing as an affiliate then you need to have your own website. This is the main requirement to start your online business. Your website does not have to be loaded with graphics, but it does need to be informative, simple and professional.
To make your website you will need to do three things. Purchase a domain name, purchase the hosting service and design your website to upload to your hosting server. While purchasing the domain name, try to get a name that contains the main keywords of your website. Or you may simply choose a name that you like.
While selecting your hosting company, look for reliability. Hosting companies will be responsible for the storage of your files and to keep your website up and running. Godaddy.com is a well known, reliable hosting company.

Hire a Designer
You can hire a web designer to do this design work for you. Just ask him to make the site professional looking and clean. The easiest way to hire a designer is to use an auction website like RentACoder.com or ODESK.com. Simply type a description of your project and designers will enter their bids. You will receive many bids from different designers. Check the portfolio and rate of each designer. Select the one which is best for your work and award him your project. After getting your website you can pay him through the auction website.
Use a Free Template
If you do not want to invest to do the designing then you can get some free templates. There are many websites on the internet that are offering free website templates. Just visit these sites and choose the template that you like. Fill in the template with you own content and upload it on your server.
Use Site Builder Tools
Another choice is to use the site builder tools. You can use “dreamweaver” and “frontpage” to make your website yourself.

Your website is meant for business, so it must look professional. It should not be over loaded with heavy graphics and lots of flashy banners. Simplicity is best. Try to use light colors. Make a nice header to show your company name and theme. The site navigation must be simple and easy. Your website should have a search box on every page to search your website. This will be a great help for the visitors that want to search for a specific product or information on your website.

The ideal world of affiliate marketing does not require having your own website, dealing with customers, refunds, product development and maintenance. This is one of the easiest ways of launching into an online business and earning more profits.
Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?
Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.
1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time.
There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have products that fit in with your target audience. And has a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and keep looking for better ones.
There are thousands of affiliate programs online which gives you reason to be picky. You may want to select the best to avoid losing your advertising dollars.
Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site. There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates that are promoting the same program. Many new affiliate marketers tend to look for a successful product that will give them the biggest profit. Some fall into the trap of looking for the product that will allow them to sit back and watch the money roll in. The reality is that they need good marketing practices that successful online marketers have used to acheive the best results.
These principles have worked with online marketing and are now producing results with online affiliate marketing. Try these five marketing strategies that others have used to increase their sales in affiliate marketing.
1. Consider Using a separate website for each product you are promoting. This will increase the cost of web hosting and set up time but it will give you more marketing options on the site to sell that product, and will be less confusing for the customer.
2. Product reviews on a website will give visitors an idea of the benefits the product will bring them. With their permission, use testimonials from satisfied customers, including names and photos.
3. A separate page with articles outlining the uses of the product can also help focus on the benefits to the customer. A call to action should be included on the information. Headlines can be used to attract readers to read more. Highlight the benefits to the customer.
4. Offering free reports to your site visitors is a good way to convince them that you are genuine. Try to place them near the top of your page to make them visible. Once the visitor imputs their information including email address then your autoresponder messages become extremely important. Most visitors will not buy from you on the first visit. Often it will take several messages from you, with reasons to buy the product, before they buy. Make sure you comply with the Anti-spam laws including the “unsubscribe link.”
Your messages should focus on how your product can benefit the reader so they become motivated to buy. It is important that your subject line is noticable, without being misleading or gimmicky. Avoid using “free” in the subject line because some older spam filters will send them to the junk mailbox.
5. This last point seems to be obvious but we all need to be reminded of it from time to time. Targeted traffic is so much more valuable than just any traffic. If your traffic includes a large percentage of people who were not interested in your product then they will soon click off your site, never to return. A great way to find the readers your looking for is writing articles for e-zines. You can choose publications that reach your target audience. The length of your articles should be a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 700 words.
If you are not used to writing articles then it can be slow going to start with but with practise you can speed up. The more articles you get published the more readers and potential traffic you will receive. Once you have set up one affiliate program and started receiving sales, you can then repeat the process for other programs and diversify your income streams.

How To Make a Selling E-Book and Marketing it Online
This article will cover the entire process.
I can guarantee that if you follow the steps in this entry, you will successfully create a selling ebook.
First: Find a Topic
It is important to find a topic that you have expertise knowledge in. The customers out there are going to be buying your word and credibility, so brush up on your writing skills and find a good topic.
Make sure the knowledge for the topic is in demand. Do some google searches to see if there is a certain type of knowledge in their field that they are looking for.
Second: Write an outline of the information you want to include in your book. You may either handwrite it or do it on your computer. Free outline templates can be found on the Microsoft website here.
Third: Creation of Content.
For my ebook creation, I use Microsoft Word 2007.
This tutorial will use Microsoft Word 2007.
Open up a new word document and think of a title. I am going to create an ebook that is titled “Creating a Money Making Blog”, for a quick example.
Click the “Home” tab and press enter 10 times to center your title.
Type your title. Next go to the insert Tab and click header.Retype your title in the header and italicize it. Click on Footer and type in the url to your blog or webpage. Click your cursor directly behind the title in the middle of the page. Press enter so that it is directly one line below your text.Then go to the insert tab and insert clip art… (Find something that is not to cheesy and similar to your topic. It can look very professional if done right)
After making the title page, it should look something like this.

After you have the cover page, you are going to have to make the table of contents. Some people say that making the table of contents after typing the information is necessary, but “I have found that if I create the table of contents right after the cover page, it helps me organize my thoughts. Creating a table of contents page is not very difficult. Center the title and name it “Table of Contents.”
Match this page and you should be alright.

The page after your table of contents should begin page numbers. Simply go to the Insert tab and click page numbers. Select a style that blends with the rest of your style.
Length has been a topic of debate in an ebook. I believe that length is not a factor when all of the topics that said they would be covered are accurately covered. I tend to make the length of my ebooks anywhere from fifty to two-hundred pages.
Fourth: Converting to PDF Format
Once you have completed your book (and cited any sources used) you will have to convert the docx format into a pdf. Ebooks are universally known to be in the PDF form.
It blows my mind that there are programs out there that are up to seventy five dollars for this type of software. There is a way you can do this completely free. Simply download the setup file for virtual pdf printer at www.go2pdf.com.
After this program is done installing, simply open it up and click the install printer button. This will take a few seconds.
Now as soon as you are done typing your ebook, and adding all points you are interested in, save your text document onto your desktop and close Microsoft Office. MO needs to restart in order for it to detect the new pdf “printer” that will allow you to convert your document.
Reopen Microsoft office and open your book that you have completed typing.
Once you have it open go to file, print.
You will notice that you now have this option.
Chose it.

It will ask you where you want to save it after. Save it onto your desktop.
This might take sometime because the pdf file might be quite large.
There you go! You now have a pdf copy of your book, but we are not done yet. We want to protect it.
Fifth: Protecting Your Ebook
Go to and download http://www.novapdf.com/download/setup/novapp.exe
Run it and install it.

To password protect a PDF document with novaPDF Professional:
- Open the document that you want to convert to PDF and password protect. Go to File->Print and in the Printers section select novaPDF Pro.
- After novaPDF Pro is selected click on the Properties button (or Preferences) to open the novaPDF Pro Properties window.
- Go to the Security tab and select either the Low Level or High Level Encryption method. You can setup a password for opening and/or modifying the PDF document by entering and confirming it in the User Password field (Owner Password lets you require a password when changing the security features of the PDF, not when opening it).
- Press OK to save the printing preferences for novaPDF Pro and in the Print window of the program click OK to so that the creation of the PDF files starts (the PDF file will be displayed after it’s created). Note that the password protection will be applied to further created PDF files unless you remove the encryption from the Security tab.
User password is for opening (and reading) the PDF file. If you define an user password when generating the PDF file, when someone wants to open the resulting PDF file it will have to enter the user password to open it. So only the ones that know this password can read/open the PDF file.
Owner password is set for changing the rights of the PDF file. The owner password is not requested when opening the PDF file but it is requesting when you want to change something in the PDF file that was restricted from modifying.
Examples of using High Level Encryption to restrict PDF permissions:
- If you want to disallow content copying from the PDF, you should make sure that the Extract text and Graphics and Advanced extract text and graphics options are unchecked. If these options are unchecked, when someone will try to copy text from the PDF to paste it elsewhere, it will not work.
- If you want to disallow readers to print the PDF, you can do so by unchecking the Print Document option in the Document Permissions section. Additionally, you can allow printing only in low resolution (150 dpi), by checking the Print Document option but unchecking the Print high resolution one (allowing only low resolution printing also prevents users from using optical character recognition software to create a similar document).
- If you want to disallow form filling, make sure the following options are unchecked: Modify Annotations, fill forms and Advanced form filling.

How important is having a paypal account?
I have been emailed this question numerous times and the answer is… IF YOU ARE NOT USING PAYPAL…YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON A VALUABLE STREAM OF INCOME.
I started marketing my e-book on audio production a few years back and paypal was the only method of payment I accepted. I was not familiar with merchant accounts and other types of payment services.
At the time, it had instant delivery. I could sell my ebooks and instantly have the link be presented to the buyer to download it from a private server.
I thought that only using paypal was going to have a terrible impact on my sales, but that was not the case. As a matter of fact,it was the right choice.
The target market for my audience (which I did not even realize until sales picked up) was predominantly overseas. Only 2% of sales were from the United States.
Always accept paypal (even if you are going to have to give up about 2 percent of the price of the product), because if you dont, you will be missing out on a valuable stream of income.
Make Money With Youtube and Your blog
Youtube is an excellent promotional and marketing tool with literally thousands of different uses.
In this article I will give you some useful tips, so you can use youtube to drive traffic to your blog and increase adsense and affiliate marketing sales.
Before creating a youtube account, make sure you have a digital camera, digital video camera, or webcam that is capable of recording audio and video.
First. Go to the Youtube Sign-up Page and follow the directions.
It will require you to type in your information and confirm your email. Do so, or else your account will not be activated.
Now what???
Alright. Well, I am glad you asked.
Next, you must find a topic that you will record a short video on. Since I am an audio engineer, I usually review new products that are coming out, or give tutorials on how to produce music.
Let’s just say that you are a gardener. You are the best darn gardener on this side of the mason dixon.
Think of a video topic that you feel comfortable talking about. If you are a gardener, you can make a video on lets say…. “The top ten gardening tip”
Write down a list of ten tips that you never ever wanted to give up while working towards your name as a gardening expert. Although you may not want to do this, it will pay off in the end. This is quality content which, if there are enough gardeners out there, will gain popularity.
Most importantly!!!
Make sure you place a link to your blog on the description of your video.. and also state the blog url in your video.
Make a short video everyday on a new topic and watch your traffic increase. Remember, the better the quality content, the better chance you have of getting traffic to your adense and affiliate marketing products.
